Meet Wendy

About Me:
I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

I offer one-to-one counselling services for all but specialise in children and young people who are presenting with a range of mental health issues.  I am based in Therapy rooms in Kenilworth, with easy access to parking.

My experience includes working in a number of colleges, supporting and assessing young people embarking on a career in early childhood studies. This then led me into the field of counselling, where I have worked in both Primary and Secondary schools, with children aged between 5-18 years, across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.  I have also worked with charities for children, young people and adults, including Valley house and CW Mind, running workshops and assemblies on resilience, mental health and protective behaviours.

I now work in private practice while continuing to offer counselling services within primary and secondary schools.

Services

As a counsellor I am able to offer a confidential space for you to begin to explore your feelings. Life can throw challenges at us, which may feel overwhelming or confusing - we may recognise that we are struggling but be unsure of how to move forward. I understand that taking the first step towards seeing a counsellor can feel difficult. I work in  a welcoming, calm environment, moving at a pace that works for you in the knowledge that you will be listened to without judgement.

I am truly passionate about what I do and have gained experience working with a wide range of client groups. I feel privileged to be able to support children and adults to work towards overcoming the challenges they are struggling with. I pride myself on my client-centred approach to my professional practice.

Counselling is a very personal journey, and so finding the right counsellor is important for you or your child. I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation so that we can have an initial chat where you will have the opportunity to have any questions answered.  Please text or email me to make an appointment.

Cost: £55 for 50-minute session.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will I know if you are the right counsellor for you?

The initial telephone consultation allows you to ask any questions and gain a greater understanding of what to expect from me. There is no commitment required! You will then have the time to decide if you want to book a counselling session with me after this initial consultation.

When will sessions take place?

Sessions will take place weekly at a mutually agreed time and day. You have the choice as to whether these are in person or over the phone/ online. There is easily accessible parking available to use in the Kenilworth location. All sessions are 50 minutes long.

How many sessions will I need?

Counselling is an individual journey, and so the number of sessions will be tailored completely to your needs. We will review sessions and work towards an ending when it feels right for you.
